Basic Pitch Is Effecting Change
Basic Pitch was born out of a group of women who sought to recreate the magic of a summer busking on Cape Cod.

The group explains what makes Basic Pitch so special:
Most of us thought a cappella would end after we graduated college, but Basic Pitch has been an amazing outlet for us to continue making music, and to have fun while doing it. The best part about singing a cappella has always been the friends you make, and we can all safely say that we've become like sisters since founding Basic Pitch in 2015! Performing with your best friends and knowing they're also there to support you outside of rehearsals and shows -- there's really nothing like it. When you're working towards a common goal to build something that you truly love -- it's magic!
Basic Pitch is a New York City-based women's a capella group that was founded in 2015. Basic Pitch's 10 members "believe fiercely in the power of sisterhood and song." Political activism is at the foundation of Basic Pitch, and the group contributes proceeds from shows to organizations that it believes support and empower women such as Planned Parenthood and the ACLU.
