ForeFront Quartet capped its seven-year pursuit of a world title by winning the 2016 International Barbershop Quartet championship last July. Formed in 2009, the group quickly rose to prominence and was named the 2010 Cardinal District Quartet of the Year. At the International Barbershop Quartet competitions, ForeFront continued its ascent by earning a fifth-place bronze medal in 2013 and a pair of second-place finishes in 2014 and 2015.

ForeFront came back even stronger in July 2016 to win its first title at the International Convention in Nashville, TN, hosted by the Barbershop Harmony Society. This moment was particularly sweet as the medals were placed around their necks by retiring champion Instant Classic, a group of close friends and contest rivals who beat them to the gold the year before.
