BOSS attendees already have a significant lineup of incredible music, learning, and camaraderie waiting for them at this weekend's festival, but the Boston area has even more to offer for visitors with a little extra time.

Watch the 2018 BOSS A Cappella Festival LIVE on FloVoice

Date: April 6-7 | Time: 7:30 PM EDT | Site: Somerville, MA

More A Cappella

Boston is home to some of the country’s most storied and successful a cappella groups. If the Scholastic Competition and the Pro Showcase leave you wanting more, a few local groups have more options for you on Sunday, post-CARA brunch!

Behrakis Unplugged: World travelers and ICCA champions The Nor’easters are hosting a casual acoustic concert with current ICCA Northeast champion Upper Structure and New York powerhouses NYU N’Harmonics in the lobby of Behrakis Health Science Center at Northeastern University. The concert is free and will kick off at 2 PM. Arrive early to get a good spot on the floor.

Salute to Spring: Somerville-area semi-pro group Out of Range is ready for spring, even if the Boston weather isn’t cooperating! Head over to Curtis Hall at Tufts University in Medford to close out your Boston a cappella weekend—show starts at 6:30 PM.

More Live Music

The Berklee College of Music produces some pretty incredible a cappella, but it is known for much more than that. If you find yourself with an extra night in Boston, current students and alumni can be found performing at The Beehive and Wally’s Café in the South End.

Street Performances

If the weather cooperates, Boston is a great place to watch the street performers. Right outside the theater in Somerville is Davis Square, a popular place for busking. If you head into Boston proper, Faneuil Hall is also bursting with pop-up performances.

Symphony Hall

Home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and recently added as one of the more notable ICCA venues, Symphony Hall is a great experience for any live music fan. Take in a piano concert with Maurizio Pollini at 3 PM on Sunday for a top-notch Boston cultural affair.

Fenway Park

It’s not exactly music related, but the MLB's Boston Red Sox are a huge part of local culture. See the Green Monster for yourself and catch an afternoon game versus the Tampa Bay Rays on Thursday, Saturday, or Sunday afternoons.

If nothing else, make sure you EAT! There are too many places to list here, but with a spot right on the ocean, it's hard to go wrong with seafood in this town. Oh, and we hear that MICappella is full of foodies...
