On April 11, 1938, the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America, now known as the Barbershop Harmony Society, was founded in Tulsa, Oklahoma. To celebrate the organization of the harmony community, we mark April 11 as Barbershop Quartet Day.
At a barbershop convention, perhaps even more exciting than the contest itself is the afterglow gatherings where strangers and old friends gather to sing tags. Whether you are an International champion or just an avid fan, there's always a place for you to tag!
Each entry in our bracket has a link to where you can learn the tag. You can brush up on some classics with the help of Classic Tags from Barbershop Harmony Society. A database of free tags is available for a wide range of voices on Barbershop Tags. You can even download apps like Tag Master to help you practice!
Which one is your favorite? Select your bracket and we'll announce the winner at Aca-Challenge on Saturday night!
