Broadway Goes A Cappella 2 Highlights
Broadway Goes A Cappella sold out 54 Below again! Here are some highlights.
The second edition of Broadway Goes A Cappella sold out 54 Below in New York City once again on Monday night.
The entire concert at "Broadway's Living Room" was professionally recorded, and until that video is released, here are some highlights from the various Facebook live streams and audience fan videos:
Rockapella's rhythm section of Jeff Thacher and Bryant Vance teamed up with Home Free's Tim Foust along with Jojo Otseidu and Adam Spiegel for this rendition of Carole King's (and Rockapella's) classic.
Elle Brigida, Alex Green, and Amanda Cornaglia are featured in this rendition of a piece from Sondheim's "Company."
The arrangement for "When You're Good to Mama" (Chicago) came from Russ Kaplan, from one of his Broadway Jazz Sessions. It was later orchestrated by Johnny DelToro. It features the incomparable Miche Braden.
Basses rarely get to sing more than "dms" or "doos." This piece changes that, featuring Charlie Friday, Vance, Thacher, Otseidu, and Spiegel.
The show closed with an appropriate show-stopping number featuring Darryl Williams.
