BHS Orlando is almost here, and we’re here to help you dig a little deeper into the scoring system that will crown new International champions. While the rulebook is a long and complicated beast that can take years to master, we’re giving you the CliffsNotes version. 

The 2018 International contest will kick off from Orlando with Quartet quarterfinals on July 3, and competitions will continue through July 7. You can catch all the action live on FloVoice! With the best of the best from around the world on the stage, deciding who wins can be a monumental task. However, the Barbershop Harmony Society provides detailed guidelines and highly qualified judges. 

A sound engineer’s hands are largely tied during an actual competition, especially compared to a normal show.

Jacob Collier is known for a lot of things: his intense love and understanding of high-level music theory, his insane jazz collaborations and covers, and of course, his Mozart-esque prodigious brain.
